What draws me to the art of making pottery is its connection and usage by a vast array of cultures for countless centuries. I am inspired by the simple beauty of classical forms, as well as those found in nature and in other discovered objects. While always producing high-fire ware for use in the kitchen and beyond, I specialize in the whimsy of raku-fired ware because this method’s unpredictability continues to delight and inspire me.
Recent work can be seen at least twice a year at the Spring and Holiday Shows at Seward Park Clay Studio in Seattle, where I am currently a resident artist. For more information about these shows go to www.sewardparkart.org
